Postcards from Provence ~

J’ai passé les derniers quelques jours en Provence, pour le deuxième novembre consécutif. Comme le temps commence à devenir très froid à Grenoble pendant cette saison, aller vers le sud prolonge un peu l’automne. Il fait plus chaud, plus ensoleillé; le feuillage est plus vif. Si vous vous trouvez en Aix vers le fin de novembre, comme j’étais l’année dernière, le marché de Noël sera déjà ouvert (et donc vous pourrez boire du vin chaud quand c’est pas encore possible à Gre !). En Aix-en-Pce, comme artiste, je pars immédiatement pour le Terrain des Peintres et l’atelier Cézanne (20 mins à pied nord d’Aix) parce que je le trouve inspirant et reposant. Voici quelques photos via Instagram (@grenobloise) prises pendant mon séjour dans cette région adorée de France.

I spent the last few days in Provence, for the second November in a row. As weather starts getting real cold in Grenoble this time’a year, heading south can prolong autumn. It’s warmer, sunnier; the foliage brighter. If you happen to be in Aix towards the end of November, as I was last year, the Christmas market will be up already (which means: you can drink vin chaud when it’s not yet possible in Gre-town!). In Aix-en-Pce, as an artist, I immediately head to the Painter’s Ground and Cézanne’s studio (20 mins walk north of Aix) because I find it inspiring and relaxing. May: Month of Love, Nature and Art

Pardonnez mon absence, mes chèrs amis qui suivent Grenobloise. J’avais voyagé et mangé souvant ces jours, comme d’habitude, et j’ai plusiers chose de vous montrer, mais c’est pour ça je n’avais pas eu du temps de partager mes petites trouvailles sur ce blog. En plus, je suppose que le changement de pays veut dire des problèmes avec les allergies. Comme fou ! Pour la plupart de cette année j’avais été malade, et je suis quelqu’un très active et normalement de bonne santé.

Pardon my absence, my chèr Grenobloise readers (or, shall I say watchers, as I post mostly pics!). I have been traveling and eating as per usual, and have more things to share than ever, which means less time for le blog. En plus, I have been sick for most of the year. I suppose changing countries also means allergy problems. Comme fou ! For most of this year I have been sick, and I am someone who is quite active and usually very healthy.

Bon, pour retourner au sujet plus agréable de ce post, c’est le mois de mai, et mai est mon mois préféré de l’année !  Je vais bientôt partager des photos belles de ce mois. J’avais fait de la peinture aussi, et j’ai plusiers peintures en progrès à ce moment. Voici deux photos d’avant et après d’un de mes aquarelles (inspiré par un bouquet des fleurs).

Bon, returning to the more pleasant subject of this blog post, it is May, and May is my favorite month! I will soon share some beautiful photos I’ve taken this month in upcoming posts. I have also been making art, and I have many paintings going on at the same time. Here are two before and after shots of a current watercolor that is almost finished (inspired by a bouquet of flowers).

Une New-Yorkaise peint… Grenoble! / A New Yorker paints… Grenoble!

Je viens de finir ma première peinture de Grenoble ! Je travaille sur une nouvelle série de tableaux dans mon petit atelier au centre ville de Grenoble.

I have just finished my first painting of Grenoble! I am working on a brand new body of work in my beautiful little studio in Grenoble’s city center.
