À Grenoble, It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Mais attendez, c’est pas décembre, c’est encore octobre ! (But wait, it’s not December, it’s still October!)
Alors ma question suivante: Où est le vin chaud ? (So, my next question, where’s the vin chaud at?)

It’s snowing in Zurich as well! It’s strange to see so much snow on the leaves still red from the fall… And yeah, definitely time for vin chaud
Bonsoir Cécile –
I was thinking the same thing about the Fall-colored leaves mixed with snow! Bizarre. I wonder how Zurich is looking sous la neige! Je n’avais pas encore visité allemagne ! Oui, le vin chaud ! Ce qui est le premier vendeur va devenir riche pendant ces journées bien froides et enneigées !
J’arrive avec le vin chaud alors !!!
Bonne soirée.
Bisous.
Emilie
Eh ben à très vite alors ! MDR
J’suis sûr que c’est TOP !
xxxooo
Wow, I heard it was snowing farther east and north, but I didn’t realise there was snow already in France! It has got way colder within a week here (down to about 5°). Is this a bad sign for winter, or just a cold snap??
Hi Gwan! It is craziness. It started snowing here last year in LATE DECEMBER. I don’t know how to cope… so I have to have some faith that I will get my hands on some vin chaud… and to push it even more… that the ski resorts’ll open early!
There really is an odd Christmas vibe (of which I do not enjoy.. it’s not even Halloween!)… with the blizzard (it did not stop snowing today yet and it’s 8PM!) and the fact that the Révillon chocolates are already being sold at the grocery stores.
I have no idea if it’s a cold snap or the beginning of the end of human existence (I don’t follow the weather as I live another universe inside of my head most of the time AKA making paintings).
Hoping you don’t get snow yet (unless you want it!).
Such bizarre weather this year. Hurricanes in the US and snow in Europe…in late October!
Hi Alison! I’ve been thinking the same thing. It’s so bizarre indeed.
I am following Sandy coverage on NPR — I hope you and Logan are staying safe.
Makes me cold just watching your beautiful pictures!
There’s always some good reason to drink wine in France so vin chaud is definitely in order
Thanks!
. It goes hand-in-hand with the xmas markets. ..There is still the Beaujolais party next Thursday so they’ll be quite a bit of red wine drinking as it is though!
Yes, I think we grenoblois have to wait until December for the vin chaud
Oh come on! It’s WAY too early!!!!! Nooooooooo (in slow motion) oooooooo !!
But good question: Where the frick is the vin chaud?! One of these days we’re going to have a glass (or 10) together!
Yes it is just cray! And then NY followed by with a snow storm this past week! What is goin’ on??! The it warmed up again the Grenoble and Fall peaked it’s head out again. Schizo weather– guess we will be used to it a decade or so from now; reminiscing about the times when there were 4 predictable seasons. (Safe) stories for the grand children.
One of these days, yes! If I could get my butt to Paris, geez! It’s been too long (a year ago the last time)!
